Side Walk Chalk Contest details:
All SideWalk Chalk Art Contestants must check in by 8:00am at Lakeview Park on the hill near the main stage to choose a sidewalk space and begin creating your masterpiece. Artist creating time will end at noon and voting will open to all festival attendees from 12-4pm. At 4pm we will tally up the votes and announce 1st($100), 2nd ($50), and 3rd ($25) places. All chalk supplies will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own as well. Contestants are subject to dismissal from contest is designs are vulgar, violent, or inappropriate. Awareness Variety Car Show details:
Car Show participants are asked to arrive between 11am and noon, Spots are to be determined onsite on a first-come basis. At 7pm we will direct all vehicles to loop through and around the park for a final drive-through presentation of each car in the show. Vehicles are encouraged to place a sign in their windows or fastened to your vehicle that says a particular cause they are passionate about (ie child abuse prevention, Suicide awareness, Veteran mental health, Trauma-informed Care, Pregnancy Loss care, Women’s rights, Minority rights, Homelessness Awareness, Domestic Abuse prevention, etc, to name a few examples.) Before, During & After KYMfest —-Social Media Champions- frequently post and share pics, videos, and shout outs with hashtags, and key words
CHILDREN/FAMILY AREA—Help monitor Bounce Houses, know schedule for kid entertainment/activities and oversee, keep participants hydrated!
MEMORIAL GARDEN-—Wall of remembrance for public, Wall of families featured, Survivor Stories area, and Healing zone-yoga, reiki, massage
INFO & FIRST AID BOOTH-–Give event programs to guests, answer questions, take donations, provide basic first aid needs
PARKING ATTENDANTS— Main parking area directing guests in to spaces, directing crew and participants to designated areas
